I believe in complimenting people when they do well [1]. So, despite the fact that Lawrence Miles is, by and large, wrong about everything (and is stuck up his own arse to a degree even I find terrifying), I thought I'd link to this post here in which he makes an excellent general point about why Doctor Who has sucked at historical stories since its return, and also a more specific point about why the Beatles aren't nearly as good as people think.
[1] Actually, I believe in telling them they did well, then immediately mocking them about something else.
