A Brief Musical Interlude

Speaking of the talented Mr Roberts, he may have entirely nailed why I love Chess so much as a musical: it consists almost entirely of people shouting at each other over squall of rock guitar. I had thought that it might have something to do with the multi-layered metaphor and exploration of love as obsession and vice versa, but no: it's probably all about the shouting...

I read punkadiddle regularly, Adam Roberts is an excellent reviewer/blogger. He's also a very interesting SF writer, I'd recommend giving him a try.
