As promised, a picture of me communing with nature (and by "communing with" I mean "bribing shamelessly").
Also featured (with her permission), the somewhat more photogenic Ibb, once I had finally persuaded her that the lorikeets were unlikely to try to savage her.
Not featured: BigHead, who was apparently convinced the birds were just waiting for the right moment to mug him. It's sad what an upbringing in Teesside can do to you.

That is a very pretty bird...
Where was this?
Edinburgh zoo.
Is it actually a Zoo? I know lately a lot of “Zoos” have been rebranding themselves as “Wildlife Sanctuaries” or equivalent. They don’t take kindly to being referred to as a Zoo as apparently it has bad connotations. Mind you it may be possible that such silliness has not spread so far North.
The Scottish care not for such fooliness; it is a zoo, and nuts to anyone who has a problem with it.
You may scoff, but just out of shot a pair of lorikeets and a large rodent were knifing me and stealing my mobile.
